Khikhvi Qvevri 2022 from Winery Keburia is an authentic Georgian qvevri orange wine that masterfully blends traditional Georgian winemaking techniques with a modern approach. This wine originates from the Kakheti region and is made from 100% Khikhvi grapes. The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented with skins and stems in traditional clay vessels called qvevri for six months. This ancient method gives the wine its characteristic amber color and complex flavor profile.
The aroma reveals notes of apricot, peach, quince, dried apricot, orange peel, walnut, and fig. On the palate, it is dry, with balanced acidity and delicate tannins, offering a harmonious and complex tasting experience with a medium body and long finish.
